Curiosity is something that we all humans are born with. It is a drive that motivates us to lead our life. It is an inquisitiveness that initiates the process of being a lifelong learner. Whether it is a child or an adult it gives scope to everyone. Everyone is a born learner, only the way to explore the hidden facts of this world & its existence differs. In short we can say that it is an enthusiasm to explore, discover and figure things out. Paul Berg has very beautifully quoted the nurturing of curiosity and instinct to seek solution and its importance in education. Before understanding this quote it is significant to understand the actual meaning of education.

Many a times education and literacy are overlapped i.e. they are synonymously used by many of us, which needs to be rectified. Education is an enlightening Experience. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. Literacy mainly revolves around acquiring the ability to read and write whereas education is about overall development of a person making it a complete human who not only read or write but also has the ability to think in broader terms and examine the things rationally. Literacy and education are termed as same thing but literacy has got indirect relation with education. Literacy is about acquiring the skills and learning, while education is about applying these skills and learning for benefit of other people, society or country. Every literate person cannot be called an educated person. Education is a much broader concept than literacy. The learning received while becoming a literate can be forgotten but education lives when even the learning 0= is forgotten. Literacy might make people feel superior to others, but only educated people are superior who know how to respect others and pay due importance to their colleagues work. Literate people working at higher positions and misusing their positions and degrading others are the biggest example of uneducated people.The people who can read and write, but use abusive and foul language are literate but definitely not educated.

We are here to educate our young explorers. In this process of education they will surely acquire specific skills. We can’t make kids educated forcefully. The desire to learn needs to be aroused. The desire will arouse only when the kids will have a strong curiosity. Being parent or educators developing curiosity should be our prime purpose not compelling kids to study. Curiosity makes mind active, observant of new ideas and brings excitement in life.Children learn more and remember it for a longer period of time when they are charged with curiosity.They start seeking solution for their queries on their own this develops the instinct to seek solution. Children are not blank slates or lumps of clay.They come with talents and driven, with strengths and weaknesses. Our job is to help them to finely tune their qualities, to give them focus, to assist them in making their strengths and channel their weaknesses in a positive direction. Hence, we try our best to chalk out the activities in the interest of our children be it in curricular or co-curricular activities. In providing them ample of activities, we help the child in choosing from varied options that suits him/her the best. This way they can discover their true potential and push themselves to achieve exceptional levels.

As parents, your most important responsibility is to recognize their strengths and help them use these strengths in the right spirit as the little ignorance towards their interests and strengths may lead them to the destructive path.To see your child perform well in every field, be it academics, music or sports we have to give them the gift of confidence first. Confidence is a gift because parents can do best in building confidence in children. It should be taught to them that topping only in class tests and end-term exams does not bring pride but honing other skills can also fetch good results. You need to be sensitive enough to identify their potential and act as a guiding light for them.

We believe that there is a star in every child hence for us everyone counts. Let us nurture this wonderful gift of God and join our hands to bring out the best in every juvenile.

Dr. Reshma Meghe is a shining beacon in the field of education and healthcare in India. Applauded and recognized in both the fields around the country, her quest for delivering high quality in each domain continues to prevail. She strongly believes in developing and delivering state of the art projects that will differentiate and sustain for years benefiting young India.

She has earned her MBBS degree from the prestigious Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS) followed by an MS (General Surgery) from Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), where she stood first. Her practice and treatment later extended to Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General (Sion) Hospital as well as rural areas and medical camps.

I am delighted to welcome you to Datta Meghe World Academy. The school is part of the larger Meghe Group, which is built on the core ideal of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam—the world is one family.

The school stands at the frontiers of global innovation in academics as well as all the other components that make education whole. Most important of all, the teaching and non-teaching staff at the school combine in them the caliber and culture to help students fulfill their higher education goals.

At DMWA, we are keenly aware of the enormous responsibility that a higher education institution must bear. A wide range of teaching-learning activities having a balanced blend of the best of the contemporary ways to the most recent and innovative methods are incorporated in the Pre Primary section of Datta Meghe World Academy. A number of games and activities are conducted in order to arouse the various senses and enable the child to understand the concepts forever. In this manner, we are also able to identify their typical learning styles and thinking styles which establishes his/ her approach to education in future.

Through this maiden edition of our very own school magazine, I wish to express my wholehearted gratitude towards the school management for giving us what is actually required to fulfill the vision of our institution of nurturing and building future of India. At the same time, I would like to thank the parents for their continuous support and encouragement in all our endeavors, allowing us to take their children to greater heights of success. It is, and will always be our earnest endeavor to see our children as our future of tomorrow and build a strong nation.

Being the Trustee of Datta Meghe World Academy, it has been a great and overwhelming experience for me.The experience of taking decisions in business and taking decisions in education is poles apart.

I have been experiencing a different but a wonderful, enriching experience, understanding the culture of the education sector with variety of dimensions to deal and solve the problems faced in the field of education. The saying that ‘learning never ends, it has no age bar’ stands true to all of us. One should be ready to explore and dive into the vast ocean of learning. I would like to say that here is an industry wherein we have the raw and tender buds expected to be blossomed and moulded into the future leaders of tomorrow. And I assure you that this is what our institution has set its sights on, fuelled and propelled by our institutions’ mission and vision. We articulate this clearly and forcefully with a firm and determined conviction and this is our barometer to excellence.

Every day we witness the growth and development taking place in our students at various stages right from the Tiny Tots of Pre Primary to the teenagers and adolescents. Here each and every employee moves in the same direction to achieve excellence for a common goal. The achievements of our School in a time span of less than 4 years stand as testimony to our efforts. The inception of the educational institute was with students in the year 2011 — 2012 and now we have almost 1200 students seeking quality education in our premises. We have worked hard from time to time by not only enhancing and upgrading our skills but also changing with the times. Our Complex is a pride in itself with the techno savvy classrooms and state of the art infrastructure. We are now in the process of designing and developing our Play Ground to meet up the global standards of Sports.

I am immensely happy to see the growth of my educational institution in the varied dimensions of academics, co- curricular, literary, arts and sports with lot many new ventures coming into play day by day. The release of the Maiden Edition of our school magazine SPARK will surely create a landmark achievement for Datta Meghe World Academy. I am indeed delighted to say that our magazine will be showcasing what we are at present and what we up to. t’s our mission to bring students closer to their ambitions and guide them with modern and contemporary education and conducive learning facilities. With the vision to Nurture and Build Future of India, we strive to provide the best of education while developing global perspectives for our future leaders.

We dream big and do big and want to widen the dimensions of our vision. From humble beginnings to Member of Parliament, life has been a tough, arduous journey for Shri Dattaji Meghe. For almost 4 decades he dedicated his life to the welfare of people. His commitment to improve social standards began with a dream of educating each and every child. What began as a relatively small educational institute, almost 3 decades ago, is now one of the most outstanding educational empires that imparts knowledge in almost every discipline of life. Dattaji Meghe Educational Trust has established 27 institutions, right from pre-primary to postgraduate levels, covering various faculties like Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Social Science, Commerce, Science, Physical Education and Performing arts.

Shri. Dattaji Meghe insists on uncompromising quality of education, disciplined performance and welfare of students and staff members.

His pursuit of academic excellence led him to the founding of ‘Nagar Yuvak Shikshan Sanstha’ and many other prestigious institutes in the country. He serves as the Founder Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences and University.
